*IACRA is a method for using the internet to complete the online application of the 8710-1 for CFI renewal. Registering and providing your FTN will assist us in renewing your certificate and providing it to you at the end of class. Please register and provide us with your IACRA FTN at least 2 WEEKS BEFORE the class date for certificate renewal at the end of the course.

Go to https://iacra.faa.gov/iacra (Dial up internet connections are not recommended due to the slow speed.) Register in the IACRA system and get a USERNAME and PASSWORD. You will be given an IACRA FTN (Federal Tracking Number.) Keep these safe for all future IACRA use.

What if I don’t want to use IACRA? What if I don’t have a fast computer? Do you want us to renew your certificate using a paper 8710-1 application? We can do that, we just need the following information filled out. You MUST fill out the 8710-1 application form above. The date is the last day of the course you are attending. Fill out the form and save. You can either email it to: mary@maryaschuaviation.com or print and mail it to: 61085 Ferguson Court • Bend, Oregon 97702. 

You will receive your FAA temporary CFI certificate at the end of class in one of the following ways:
1. On location through IACRA.
2. In the mail from the FAA. Your course completion certificate will be your temporary CFI until the new certificate comes from the FAA. (Additional fee.)
